If you are a parent or legal guardian (“Guardian”) of a user who is 14–17 years old (a “Minor User”), please review and consent below.

1) What Write8 Academy Is

Write8 Academy helps users improve English writing. The Minor User may upload photos/scans of handwritten essays in our Discord community and receive:

- text feedback,

- AI-generated audio/podcast feedback, and

- AI-generated lessons (including short-form video-style lessons).

2) Discord (Third-Party Platform)

Write8 Academy is delivered through Discord, a third-party platform with its own terms and privacy practices. Depending on where the Minor User posts, submissions may be visible to others in the server. We recommend using private submission methods we provide (if any) and avoiding posting personal information.

3) AI Limitations (Hallucinations)

Outputs are generated by AI and may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or misleading (“hallucinations”). Outputs are for educational support only and should be reviewed by the Minor User and/or Guardian. Do not rely on Outputs for high-stakes decisions.

4) Data We Collect and Process

We may collect and process limited account identifiers (e.g., Discord ID, nickname, avatar) and content the Minor User submits (essay images, OCR text, intermediate processing, and generated feedback).

We prohibit submitting sensitive data such as government ID numbers, financial account numbers, medical information, passwords, or precise location.

5) Service Improvement / Training (Default; Opt-Out Available)

By default, we may use submitted content and generated feedback to maintain and improve the Service (quality assurance, debugging, analytics, safety/abuse prevention, and feature development). You may opt the Minor User out at any time by contacting: info@sonne.technology and providing the Minor User’s Discord ID.

6) Guardian Agreement

By providing consent, you confirm:

- You are the Minor User’s parent/legal guardian;

- You consent to the Minor User’s use of Write8 Academy under our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy;

- You understand the Service uses AI and may produce inaccurate Outputs; and

- You accept responsibility for the Minor User’s use of the Service to the extent permitted by law.

TO CONSENT: Reply “I CONSENT” and include:

- Minor User Discord ID (or Discord username), and

- Guardian full name.
